I am applying at a job and I just got the call for a job interview, what tips can you offer me about what to say, how to act, etc during a job interview?
Thanks all!

Smile. Listen to the questions being asked, and think about your answers before you blurt something out. Be self-assured and friendly. If you really just can’t think of a good answer just be honest, and say, "I’m not sure, could we come back to that one?"

If asked about weaknesses, do NOT try to suck up (eg. "I’m just such a perfectionist," etc). You might say, "Because I’m young and haven’t yet found quite what I’m looking for, I haven’t exhibited a lot of longevity in previous positions. However, longevity is a serious goal for me, so I want to be sure that the next place I work is a good fit for all parties." Of course, that might not apply to you, but you get the idea.

Don’t forget to have a sense of humor and to dress professionally. I wish you the very best of luck!

I have a kinda mock interview but it is a serious grade for one of my classes to prepare for an actual interview. Since I’m 15 I’ve obviously never been on an interview so, How do you prepare for an interview and what are some of the questions they ask?

you’re 15? Aren’t there child labor laws in your country? dammmit, I hope you don’t need a resume built at age 15. i’d be screwed.

So,I’m reading this book and I have to interview people. I have to think of 10 questions about family out of ‘The 5th Tuesday: We Talk about Family’ in Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. I only have 5 and I need HELP. What questions could you ask people about the word/topic — ‘family’?

Does you family eat dinner together on a daily basis.
If not, how do you think that eating together for one meal a day would affect your relationship with each other?

I may have a interview with United in the next week or so. Can anyone tell me from prior experience what the interview process is like? Good company to work for? And how often do they drug test?…Do they schedule by seniority?..etc; Just anything and everything you know and are able to suggest so this interview goes well. Ive always wanted to work for a major airline company and im hoping to land this opportunity. Thanks!

My dad used to work for United. All he told me about the interview process, though, was this:

Q: What is the most important thing at an airline?
A: Safety.

Any other answer to that question is wrong.

I’ve been given an interview for a job in a lab I really want to work in, but I don’t want to blow the interview.

Since I’m sure some readers on here have done undergrad lab jobs that they had to interview for, do you have any tips?
I see! Get them with humor, got it.

Corn??

Tell ‘em you’re not a stalker and you’re all ears…

I have an interview with a legal advisory organisation tomorrow morning.

I am guessing that you prepare in exactly the same way that you would prepare for a paid role. Is there anything else i should bear in mind?

Thing is, I really want this role. Even though its voluntary, there are lots of people who want the role. Its just an admin position believe it or not lol

I suggest that you prepare in the usual way. Be clear about your qualifications for the work to be done and be able to talk about any personal achievements. Above all be ready to answer the question "Why are you prepared to do this work, without pay?". The voluntary sector is a great field to work in because people really want to be doing the job. I wish you every success.

I have scheduled interview this wednesday fo bank teller position in Wells Fargo and I would like to ask somebody who went through this to tell me what kind of questions most likely to expect. Thanks

I worked as a Mortgage Consultant at Wells Fargo….they are all about sales and "employee’s being really happy!" Tell them you will take every opportunity to learn more about the Wells Fargo products and services you offer and sell them to every customer you come in contact with. You will offer a friendly customer service…and strive to make their experience with me a pleasant one. You need to stress how you are willing to not only do the teller duties (cashing checks, taking loan payments, etc.) you are willing to go the extra mile and sell products and services referring customers to the "Personal Bankers" within the branch. Personal Bankers open new checking accounts, take equity, auto and credit card applications,

Watch the below video’s about Wells Fargo so you know about their beginning back in 1852…and learn what their current stock price is:

https://www.wellsfargo.com/about/corporate/storyofwellsfargo

http://www.bigcharts.com/custom/wellsfargo-com/wellsfargo.asp

The stock is worth $24.71 a share (this will impress them…you’ve done research on the company).

Dress professionally - no jeans, tennis shoes,…. dress as if you are going to a "professional event"…dress shirt, tie and slacks…, dress shoes (if you have suit coat, wear that too).

i need interview questions that will tie back to my theme…. Make the best of the cards you are dealt

Could you have planned where you are today?

Some say "no pain, no gain". How do you react to that? Does it resonate, or does it ring hollow?

Did anyone give you advice that has proven invaluable to you?

Do you think you have any advice that will prove invaluable to young people hearing it?
